Wednesday 3rd March - bike *** - Two Rivers Deben to the Orwell – foggy and cold.

Woke to another cold and foggy day here in Felixstowe and it sadly stayed like that all day! Morning at home setting up the cat flap to the kitten’s neck chip, they were not impressed, also they seem nervous of the great out doors which is a good thing! I did my exercises while Mag did some potting in the garden and then after dinner, I decided to have a pic ride out despite the poor weather, Mag decides to give it a miss walking around to an old friend. I tried to sort out Mags bike gears first, it remains to be seen if it works? I wrap up well and head down to the prom and it is very foggy, cold too! Snapping a few pics on the way but it is not easy when you have two pairs of gloves on! The Fludgers then onto The Dip with the visibility not improving with the Martello towers appearing out of the gloom. The ferry is still lovely even in the fog and is always worth a walk through the b oat yard taking pics. The tide was very high and I stopped by the delict boats for some reflections before continuing onto the Deben path which is drying out nicely now. At Kingsfleet I turn inland up Marsh Lane past the spooky house and onto Ferry Lane which I take all the way to Trimley. All the way down Maidstone Road coming out by the docks and onto the view point car park to make it my two rivers ride. Again, the docks seem very quiet, not many ships in not that I cold see much! Through the nature reserve, along the prom and home after being out for over two hours covering 14.14 miles!
